Community Peace Quilt Project

A call for peace and hope for the future – join us for an afternoon of community building and crafting at Vida Art Studio. Together with our community, we will be hosting a peace quilt workshop, where people of all ages, backgrounds, creeds, and skills can contribute to a community art project advocating for a peaceful new year. Following a long history of craftivism through quilting, we hope to make space for Laramie to connect, make, and hope for a more peaceful world, while celebrating Martin Luther King Jr. Day and Wyoming Equality Day.

We will have a variety of materials for each artist to create a quilt block expressing their vision of a peaceful world. Perfect for all skill levels and backgrounds. We will then sew all the blocks together to display in our studio window through the months of January and February. This workshop is free! (RSVPs are welcome – see below).
